Having acne not only affects you physically, but emotionally too. There’s nothing more frustrating than waking up to discover a fresh breakout! Well the good news is (the most severe type aside) that acne is largely a condition of prevention and having a consistent routine with the BEST active ingredients in the RIGHT concentrations that truly deliver is the key to clear skin!
Through my decades of study and clinical experience as a Dermatologist, I have narrowed down TWO particular ingredients that work beautifully together to help calm acne and oily prone skin - Niacinamide (aka B3 my hero ingredient) and salicylic acid (which is a BHA).

They’re a beautiful pairing because Salicylic acid does the heavy lifting of exfoliating, unclogging pores and preventing future congestion…(1) While B3 strengthens the barrier layer, regulates sebum and repairs damage from breakouts. (2).

STEP 1 - CONCENTRATED CLEANSER
Now this is really important. Using the wrong cleanser (either containing detergent, foam or beads) can aggravate already sensitive skin, stripping the barrier layer and increasing inflammation and sensitivity. More importantly it can leave your skin dry, tight and in desperate need of hydration. My Concentrated Cleanser is delicate and gentle with soothing niacinamide/vitamin B3 and anti-inflammatory botanicals to calm angry breakouts while effectively removing makeup, sunscreen, pollutants, grime and excess oil.
STEP 2 - CONCENTRATED CLARIFIER
The Concentrated Clarifier serum is nicknamed THE BOMB for good reason - this daily chemical exfoliator prevents breakouts and keeps the skin calm because I’ve paired the BHA Salycilic acid with AHAs, mainly in the format of Lactic Acid..
As we know, BHA is a powerful acne-busting ingredient that penetrates deep into pores to dissolve any congestion, while a mix of potent AHAs (lactic, glycolic, mandelic and tartaric acids) exfoliate dead skin cells and create smooth, evenly toned skin. Apply after cleansing in the morning.
STEP 3 - CONCENTRATED MOISTURISER
Many people think you don’t need moisturiser when you have acne or oily skin, but this is a myth! In fact it is one of the biggest mistakes you can make!
If the skin senses dryness, it sends a signal to the sebaceous glands to produce more moisture and can create even more breakouts! You need a moisturiser that isn’t oily and integrates well with the skin - that’s why I formulated the Concentrated Moisturiser boosted with 5% B3 to prevent inflammation and keep the skin calm.
