The entire drNC skincare range is developed and made on Australian shores, with all our products manufactured right here at home. We’ve said no to plenty of offers to create our products off-shore at heavily reduced costs, because we know that would compromise on the quality of products delivered to our clients - a sacrifice we are never willing to make.
drNC is owned outright by our founder, dermatologist Dr Natasha Cook, a renowned thought leader in the Australian skincare industry. Dr Cook has declined numerous private equity offers in order to retain 100% financial control and autonomy over the business, and she is proud to employ a growing team of local staff members all working out of drNC HQ in Sydney’s Darlinghurst.

The Australian sun is the harshest in the entire world, so Australian skin has a unique and particular set of requirements. The sun is the biggest cause of aging skin, so Aussies are more prone to sun-induced aging, sun spots, pigmentation and dehydration due to even the smallest amounts of sun exposure. In fact, we show signs of photoaging nearly 20 years earlier than our northern hemisphere counterparts.

Vitamin B3, also known as niacinamide, is the hero ingredient you’ll find infused throughout almost every product in the drNC range, due to its incredible ability to heal and protect skin, working to fight all six skin concerns. But when drNC was first created, back then niacinamide was not the buzzy ingredient it is today.
Its skincare benefits were first discovered by Professor Diona Damian, a pioneering Australian Dermatologist and scientist whose research in 2005 showed that 5% niacinamide applied on the skin protected the skin’s immune system from depletion by UVB. Dr Cook worked alongside Prof Damian and it’s this research that inspired Dr Cook to integrate vitamin B3 as a core ingredient in the drNC range.
